Web Site QA Checklist
Testing & Validation
- Do the pages match the source site?
- Brief visual check to ensure that nothing is broken.
- Have the pages been tested for cross-browser compatibility on all current mainstream browsers and operating systems? IE, FF, Safari, Chrome
- Are the pages at least functional (if not pretty) in older browsers?
- Have all orphaned folders & web pages, and media been deleted?
- Are all file & folder names consistent and do they follow standards
Links & Navigation
- Have all links been tested to ensure that none are broken or linking to old site?
- Are all links to external sites indicated as such in some manner?
Images
- Are there any broken images?
- Have all orphaned images been deleted?
- Will the image naming conventions be clear & easy to identify for someone unfamiliar with the site?
- Are ALT attributes present for all images? Do the names used make sense?
